In early 2023, I started an initiative, SJ Pride Hockey Club, to make hockey more accessible/visible to the LGBTQIA+ community, in Silicon Valley. A unique “Bigger Than Beer League” club, its goals are to subsidize league fees, equipment upgrades, and potentially build a learn-to-play for queer youth in San Jose.
